Sam, After reading the write-up in the AP Quarterly about your other books, tried to find your phone # to call you to no avail.
Want to get the group of books with Jancy Dewhurst and, of course, have you autograph them, if you can. Still in Houston. Would also like to get a copy of Bodacious if you have one around. Let me know the $$ and will send you a check or a credit card # - whatever you prefer. Wish you could get down our way! Didn't like the mistake made in the quarterly by saying you were with Gamma-Depaw!
Loved The Ribbon Murders and am looking forward to reading more by my "Sam".
Love, Butchie
PS: Send me your phone # and address so I will have it. Just send it to my e-mail address.
Also interesting reading from those in your Guest Book that were in our pledge class at OU.

I saw about you in the Alpha Phi quarterly. I am Housemother at Alpha Phi at the University of South Dakota. You spoke of your book Aftermath, and I may get it because my Daughter Tammy was murdered, and we feel a friend of hers knows what happened, but fears for her life if she tells anyone. It looks like you've written alot of books. Have a nice Sunday afternoon. Nancy

In AFTERMATH her latest novel, Sharon Ervin describes the sexual awakening of Anna Fulenweider, an attractive 24-year-old newspaper reporter. Anna has been traumatized while she was kidnapped and held captive for 53 hours. The man who abducted her wore a mask and spoke in a whisper. Anna cannot identify him, and she is reluctant to talk about what happened to her during her kidnapping. Anna’s newspaper friend introduces her to Joe Marsh, a playboy, in hopes that he can persuade Anna to reveal the experiences that have left her psychologically damaged. Through questioning and careful touching of her body, Joe slowly persuades Anna to disclose what happened to her, and her abductor is identified and captured. The author tells her story with lots of dialogue while weaving in descriptions of what arouses Anna sexually. It’s all told in good taste, never pornographic. AFTERMATH is an interesting study of the psychology of sex, whether it’s love or only physical.

Dear Sharon,
Normally I read one book at a time. But I stopped midway through RED DRAGON, one of Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter books, to start AFTERMATH. I've finished the first five chapters, and I'm eager to learn what develops with Anna and how much she will disclose about her abduction. Your dialogue is realistic. Bear with me, Sharon, I'm a slow reader.
Good luck for the Sooners!

I am impressed with your site and your accomplishments. Amazing all the talent in Oklahoma. Perry is where my growing up years were spent each summer on my grandparent's farm west of Perry. Writing is a solitary experience as is spinning and painting. Lots of solitary has happened along the way with visual results. Hey, somebody has to do it, right? Keep up the good writing.

Sharon Ervin weaves two exciting streams of suspense in her latest book.
MURDER ABOARD THE CHOCTAW GAMBLER. One line is a string of murders. The other line is a romance spiced with a little sex, graphic but not too much so. The suspense is maintained until the very last page. The author writes excellent dialogue, sometimes a little beyond the believable, but enjoyable to read.

Rose was a good read. Believable dialogue, interesting characters and a plot that moves rapidly. You describe in detail the physical assets of Fisk that attract Jan before they speak. But in the case of Fisk, he says “marry me” with little explanation of why he was attracted to her. I wondered, Sharon, if that was your way of saying that the male is quickly aroused when seeing an attractive female, and no explanation is required.
You have a real talent for telling stories that read as if they were drawn from real life. The funeral home scene rang true to my own observations, since my late brother-in-law was a funeral director and his two sons are funeral directors today.
Congratulations, Sharon, for your short story Rose that I read today and thoroughly enjoyed. I purchased Chik-Lit for Foxy Hens out of birthday money from one of my sons. I’m happy that I did. One of the bookcases in my study has a place for my collection of the published works of Sharon Ervin. I hope to add future volumes to my Ervin collection.

Dear Sharon....first of all I had no idea that you had written so many books...I have to get busy reading...as you know the Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi has returned to the OU Campus...they initiated close to 100 members...I am not sure how many were mothers of the girls...the new living room in the old house will now be the library with books cases on either side of the fire place.....I saw it yesterday ...lots of empty book shelves...Anne Pfenning and I had a wild idea of trying to fill it up with autographed books written by Alpha Phis...you are the first one I have approached with this idea and wondered if you would consider donating a few of your wonderful novels and be the first to be placed in the new library...let me know what you think...I would like to write national and see if I could get a list of Alpha Phi authors who would like to add to our initial request...thank you, Janis Kelly

When I've ordered my books from other publishers it has always been on their dime. I had assumed it would be the same here. Thanks, Janne

In order to stop the spammers from abusing your guestbook I have rewritten the web page so that it now requires a validation code. This is a bit more work for your visitors but there is no other alternative short of removing the guestbook altogether and I don't think we want to do that. While I was working on the guestbook I went ahead and added a feature that you will be notified via e-mail each time a new message is posted on your guestbook. I also asked the users for their e-mail address just in case you would like to reply to them I do not however post the e-mail address on the guestbook as this would be a violation of their privacy. Please review the new guestbook and give me your thoughts. Hopefully this will eliminate the problems of the spammers filling your guestbook with unwanted posts.
By the way this e-mail was generated by your guestbook.

I really am inspired to write about my hospital traumatic experience that has left me abnormal but in an embarrasing way. A mistake during a complete hysterectomy caused me to go through hell and back. It's been 8 years now; I'm still on anti-depressants because without them, when I discuss my misadventure, I break down...
